Academies
Our XCELerate Signature Academies place like-minded students in a challenging and inspiring environment designed to nurture their talents. Whether it's eSTEM, ChangeMakers, Sport & Health Science, Paddling, or Creative Industries, students are supported to excel, innovate, and lead from day one.
High School Readiness Program
Our XCELerate High School Readiness Program gives Year 6 students a fun and engaging transition to high school through fortnightly enrichment sessions. From hands-on learning to building friendships, this program boosts confidence, connection, and readiness before the big move to Year 7!

Immersion Days
We are taking applications for current Year 5 students to participate in our XCELerate Academy Immersion Days to experience a day in the life of a high school student.

General Enrolments
Welcome to Elanora State High School, the school that is a community, for our community. We focus on educating and supporting the whole child to ensure every student thrives, flourishes, succeeds and graduates as a confident, resilient global citizen.
Diverse Learning
The Special Education Program at Elanora State High is called Diverse Learning. The Diverse Learning team caters for and supports a number of students with disabilities or impairments, extra support requirements and learning challenges.
Cooee Senior Surf Program
Cooee GC, is an pathways program for Year 11 and 12 students. They complete their core subjects for their QCE and select Certificate-based courses of their interest. This is combined with students participation in surf training programs, which are run by highly accredited surf coaches.

XCELerate Academies

Applications for all 2027 XCELerate Academies will open on Friday 27th February.

Yes we welcome students to apply for multiple XCelerate Academies, allowing them to explore a range of interests and enhance their learning experience. The only exception is that students may only participate in either the Creative Industries Academy or the Sport & Health Science Academy, not both.

XCELerate Academy offers will be communicated via email from our Academies team on Friday 26th June 2026.
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application.

Upon receiving and accepting an offer for a position in our Academies, students will be required to complete the full enrolment process for both Academies and the school. This includes submitting necessary paperwork, attending an enrolment session, and finalising payment of the applicable academy fees.
Academy Fee: $250 (non-refundable)
Out of Catchment School Fee (if applicable): $100 (non-refundable) -
Yes, students applying for an Academy position in Year 8 and 9 will be individually assessed based on school reports, NAPLAN results and achievements.
